As some on new to this forum I would like to say hi to all.
Hi.
Any way, as a newbie to vivariums I will have a few questions.
First up is this. I would like to start a vivarium, however I don’t really know were to start other than what I have read on this site and very thank full for it because it did answer a lot of questions

however the main problem I have, would a 40.65 U.S gallon tank be a good starting tank or would it be to big?
Width: 91.5cm (36.02")
Height: 48cm (18.9")
Depth: 36cm (14.17")
I only want to put fish in as of yet (i need to get my reptile licence before i go looking at adding a frog) so I have worked out that I want around 18 to 20 U.S gallon of water in the tank, well around their (with an option to lower the water level at a latter date if need be). This would only be under half of the tank in water if I do not divided for the plants, I would like to do some what of an island in the middle and along the back side and up and above the tank. The reason that I would like to do a vivarium is because I have a lot of plants that I could already put in the above ground area being an avid plant collector.
Any personal preferences would be greatly appreciated because whom better to ask then people whom own vivariums then those whom own them.
