I have a crested gecko and 2 day geckos, each in a planted enclosure with fairly high humidity (2 of the enclosures are exo-terras). Here is what I do to maintain humidity:

--substrate: baked clay balls (available at black jungle among other places), mesh divider (not essential --I forgot to use one for my crestie and it's fine), eco-earth or coco fiber about 2-3" deep

--plants: a variety of tropical, easy to care for plants either in pots or planted right into the soil (that's what I do)

--small water dish to aid humidity and for drinking. I make ceramic ones and set them into the soil

--daily misting

My crestie humitidy hovers around 80%.

Good luck.
