Question

Hmmmm, sounds like something that would be worth a try. I snail problem I have not been able to eliminate. From whom did you get the dry ice from? About what did it run?

testing,

Marty, and rest of the members, I had to change the title of this thread to Eliminating Vivarium Pests, Comments becuase people's comments on that article show up here.

Thanks.

Pavel,
The good thing about this method of eliminating pests, is I believe you can use it on household plants too, as long as you can find a suitable enclosure for the plant during treatment. Marty hit the jackpot with this in my opinion.

As for finding Dry Ice, this is a good place to find out if they sell the stuff near you:

Sorry marty,

On most forums, the final background is white not green. So Blue shows up well in that situation .... I just gotta remember this one is a greeny.

Back to the question though, about how much dryice did you need for the 90 gal tank?

Default your are my hero

Thanks a whole heck of alot for posting your dry ice solution. I had an infestation of little centipedes as well and now they are all dead mua hahaha.
Its a stroke of genius I say. I applied one variation to your method however that seemed to work out well. I took a container with dry ice and put it in the vivarium with a faucet operated venturi siphon so I could siphon out cold water and replace it with hot to keep the carbon dioxide really pumping. Anyway thanks again.

So I was watching History Channel, and the scientists are now saying that the last Plague of Egypt, in Moses' time, you know the one where the first born children of Egypt would die, was cuased by Carbon Dioxide asphixiation!!! The gas erupted from the ground triggered by earlier earthquakes!!!!
I just kept remembering Marty's Elimipest technique!
