A new blog entry has been added:

vivarium is finally set up

I have finally set up the vivarium and now all I am waiting for is the humidity to be stable for awhile then I can add the dart frogs. I bought the 12x12x12 exo terra terrarium from Black Jungle in Turners Falls Mass. ( VERY VERY helpful folks!) on halloween and waited until Nov. 21st to start getting it set up.

I would add more plants and a coco hut. maybe put some broms or orchids on the back wall. with this little plant coverage your darts will be shy and stressed. belive it or not the more hiding places you have the more you will see your frogs because they will feel safe and know if they are in danger they have lots of places to go

Thanks for the tip rainfrog...I just purchased a D. tinctorius Patricia for the vivarium and it seems to really enjoy it...I am currently waiting for a couple of plants to add in but it doens't seem to want to hide.

I do not use a pump but I have heard that people get them at pet shops but I get all my supplies at black jungle terrarium in turners falls mass. They are really great and give super advice! I would give them a call and ask what they use they have awesome set ups!!!
Terrarium & Vivarium Supplies by Black Jungle Terrarium Supply
I hope this helps!
