Default How do you house a Brookesia?

Hi everyone,

My boss at work just got a Brookesia sp? from the White Plains reptile show this weekend. She and I have no idea how to care for this animal. Its 1.5 inches long from snout to tail, and occasionally shows yellowish stripes along its body. THe horns on its head are not very pronounced.

We bought a 20 Long for it, and am planning to give it a glass top for high humidity. Would a water feature about 1/4" in depth be ok? I was also planning on putting a computer fan in there for air movement. How can I put in fresh air? Would an aquairum pump be good with that?

What kind of lights are necessary with Chameleons? Im not experienced in the UV lighting department.

We are giving it leaf litter, is that ok with this little guy?

Thanks!

ive never kept brookesia, but from what i read rhampholeon are almost exact in care. i kept mine in 10 gallons with ficus benjamin clippings for climbing and leaf litter for hiding/hunting.

heres a good care sheet i ran across on brooks.

THanks, I'm gonna have the fan run all day since I want high humidity with a glass lid.
