Default Framing Question

I have an old 20L that I'd like to work on over the summer to set like Tindomul1of9's vertical tank. It used to be my son's old iguana tank. One of the end panes is cracked, and I figured to take this off and replace it with the screen-frame mentioned, and make it the Top. My problem is that the old plastic tank frame has cracked and fallen apart and I need to take it off. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to proceed with this tank after I remove to cracked frame and end pane? I need to know if I really have to frame it - or if I could work it as a frameless tank. (The bottom 8 in. will be aquatic) If I have to frame it, is there someplace to get a new frame? Or can someone suggest a way to build a new one that'll set the tank on the vertical?

In a tank under 30 Gallons you dont need moulding around the edges even if it will be full of water. However I was wondering if you found any info on this? I an building a 90 gallon tank and should realy put moulding around the bottom.

Hey all...newbie to the forum but thought i would throw my two cents in...i'm a big believer in murphy's law and that if it can go wrong it will...ever thought about getting some angle iron and fabricating your own trim...i just made a stand out of the stuff and it worked out great...if you're concerned about asthetics you could even attach moulding onto it from the local Depot and give a proffesional look

How do you work with this Iron? It sounds hard to do.
