Default Moss?

If I used sparaguhm (sp.) moss for my Firebellys background, what else could I use to make it darker? I plan on have a powerhead (what is the minimum GPH I should use to make it flow calmly, but not slow) pumping water to a waterfall on the left top of the tank, that waterfall flows into a small pond, which flows into a stream made from foam and silicone, and then empties into the main pond where it was pumped from. I plan on using foam for the background and putting a few plant pots (the little plastic cups) into it. I might use driftwood, (although that is a little pricey for me right now and) and attaching a few vines to it. I am going to use tons of pebbles on the silicone all the way down the stream. Is there anything else besides pebbles I can use that is cheap? If I used tan and a dirty white pebble, would it eventually change the color to a natural greenish brown/gray with time and from algae? Also, in regards to keep a small fish or two in the main pond, what could I use? It will only be about 7-8/10th of a gallon. Would guppies work? This will all be in a 10 gallon tank also, so I cant have anything major, unless I upgrade (which again, I can't afford right now). How much is the foam per bottle, and how many bottles do I need? What is the exact name of it? Please help, I need answers soon. The Hamburg, PA show is in 3 weeks and I want to get my Firebelly(s) there.

The foam is called Great stuff. one should be plenty for a 10 gallon. FBT's will eat the small fish so dont wory about it (unless you dont mind frequently replacing them) As far as algae build up FBT's are pretty toxic. I dont have exsperience with them (I want some though) but From what I have researched proper maintenance would not permit algae build up
