Classifieds are now installed... click on the site menu to use. May need some tweaking so please post back if something is not working

marty... i just wanted to say thank you as i see you are working on things... i know everything will not work out overnight... i will obviously mention anything i see as it comes along... thanks again for this site and the work you're doing to maintain it... we have a good community with some very knowledgeable people here who are more than willing to help and that would not be possible without some work on your part... much appreciated!

Sometimes it's hard to get to work on things, but I'm making my priority to work on VF more and more. seems the site is picking up lately so might be a good time to fix the bugs and make it a kick ass forum

hey listen... for future the classifieds should not be so narrowed imo... we could easily help each other out with different things... for trade... or raok... aquarium thingys... etc. do not fit the current setup... it's great just to have it for now... but consideration i think should be taken... and i already think this is a kick as forum, it just needs to be formatted kick ass style... that's why i appreciate what you're trying to do for us

i know copying another forum may have it's legalities, but check out the classifieds at aquariacentral.com... i think they have a great setup that allows endless possibilities and our site should be more varied since almost all that applies there can apply here and more!

imo... a look over their classifieds can be very beneficial for ideas of what works well... i have also had a couple good experiences there also already!

take it one thing at a time, we understand... i'll still complain when i feel like throwing my pc out the window though... that's just me... lol, sorry.

I'm open to suggestions, feel free to recommend a category structure. I just don't want to have 400 categories, from experience on my other forums keeping it simple works best. See (Orchid Board and Geckos Unlimited)

yeah i'm thinking very few categories also... and less specific... aquariacentral has more like salt or fresh... each post is more individual... by the rules you have to post "wtb" (want to buy) "raok" (randoms act of kindness [freebies that would otherwise be trash but others could use... usually just pay shipping and shipping materials]) "f/s" (for sale) "f/t" (for trade)... and such would be in the title

for specifics i'd say we need pets, supplies/materials, food... or maybe dry, wet, submerged... or maybe live, perishable, materials... i think maybe even no categories for a while to gauge better how to split it and leave a suggestion box at the top like a sticky or something... simple for now

you know what... i think it'll work fine if you just add an "other" section for trades and unwanted items/pets... i really think we need to start sharing our stuff... and that's really the way to make the best of it that's all... i have some things i could part with right now that would add up and i'd hate to give it to someone i don't communicate with at all, like another forum... oops did i say that?
