That's just silly... This is a serious discussion...

I think that one of the main things here is that the meaning of the word tame isn't the same for all of us... learned behavior, taming, whatever you want to call it, I think that alot of what everyone is saying points to it being possible.

yes i am quite silly.
but seriously though... a friend of mine once had a gray treefrog and she would climb all over his arms when he put them in the tank and chill on his shoulder while playin xbox. was quite tame from him feeding her by hand all the time. my gray tree frog on the other hand did not like to be outside her home. tried handfeeding, but gave up eventually to avoid stress...

imo it is possible to tame some frogs, similar to other animals i think it depends on the personality of the creature.

That's interesting. I wish I could try to tame a frog in such a way to have them sit on my shoulder! But alas, I have two cats and a dog, and I really don't think that would work out...

Oh, and thank you for being more serious.

I have 3 WTF's and all of them are amicable to handling. They do not struggle or jump away. I feel that certain species are more likely to be "tame." That's why I chose White's, because they tend to be more docile than other frogs.

My Green treefrogs are quite jumpy and would hop off if I even open the Vivs doors. The two Grey tree Frogs I have seem to be ok around me though although Ive not had one react the same way as many have mentioned before. Ive only had mine a month so maybe in time they will.

my two WGTF's are tamed to a slight extent in that i can just put my hand infront of them and the will climb onto it and will just walk around on my arm for as long as i want, when i put them back in the cage they jump off, however... sometimes they like to be naughty and jump around the area in which i am keeping them but they never stray to far and they crawl straight back onto my hand pretty much straight after. XD i love my frogs!

My FBT knows when I come up to the tank. And after so long with him and hand feeding him, he crawls up onto my arm and hand when im doing things in the tank.
