It could probably be done, but if you put heavy tint, you won't be able to see anything anyways.

I saw something like this done with a type of marsupial in a zoo. Basically, you had to go into a booth that was all dark and it had these tiny red lights. Your eyes would get used to the light after a minute or two and you could see the animal active during the day, even though it was nocturnal... best thing is to get dart frogs - they're active during the day

FF are no big deal... Make cultures once every 2 weeks and you're done. Not that bad.

From what I've seen so far tree frogs in general seem much shyer than aquatic frogs. If mine see movement they will freeze. When I'm watching them at night I have to be very still not to interrupt them. My point is that even if thier day/night cycle was reversed they would probably still be disturbed by movement outside the tank and would get stressed. Maybe they would get used to that eventually?

RETF's can't see red. So any low intensity red light works well at night to view them.

Talking

I know what gnats are (I soooo hate them ) but I've never heard of fungus gnats. I don't want gnats or mosquitoes as food for my frogs..... I dont' want to be bitten at night while I sleep. edit: I mean if some get out ....

I guess frogs will eat them though....

by the way, mosquitoes and gnats will bite frogs too, even if frogs are cold blooded.
