It will depend in part on her personality. While I have know folks whose leos didn't mind being picked up, others do not like it at all.
If I pick mine up, I guide her into walking onto my hand. If I were to grasp her, she wigs out. [Probably triggering fears that a predator has grabbed her.] And even when on my hand, mine does not like being carried around. I suspect the fact that her eyes tell her she's moving but the rest of her body tells her she isn't, is unsettling for her.
Never grasp them by or near the tail. If you do the tail may break off.
