Water feature

HI I am about to get all my supplies for my crested gecko. But I am contemplating what kind of water feature I want.

First off I am thinking I should just build a false bottom like everyone and have a small pond in the from and have a stream running down the back ground.

second I am thinking of building up 1/2 my tank with gavel then screen then jungle ground and moss. and on the other 1/2 slopes to the level with the gravel and have a pond with a tube under ground to the pump and back to the top of the water feature. (IS THIS POSSIBLE)?

and how do I make a stream?
should I use a filtered pump so the water doesnt get grosse?

i`m thinking about using a kitchen sink in the bottom of my tank with a pipe out the bottom to drain & clean it

im at this same point in my design phase. im planing on waterfall i think but it is alot more challanging to design then i thought. might just have to settle for a stream. you can build one with pvc and elbows. glue them together and then cut in in half so you have 2 identicle trenches. just glue them to your fb and pile the substrate all around and you will have your stream. you can silicone rocks or sand or something in the stream to make it more natural.
