I would not, even though both come from SE Asia. Tokays tend to be agressive toward anything they feel is an intruder and the Golden could not escape in the confines of an enclosure.
IMO it is asking for an injured or dead Golden.

Only if you really want to kill the golden geckos off........

I don't see that it is worth the risk. Tokay are not nice creatures.

Cool

Is a tokay classed as a rainforest gecko or a desert?

I have one leo at the min and I know they come from predomanatly desert and rocky regons such as pakistan and afganistan. Im hoping to buy a tokay from a locla show in November and want to know what enviroment they come from so that i can build the viv acordingley.

I first met Tokays, (we had a name for them I can’t use on most websites), in Viet Nam during the tropical monsoon season when the humidity ran around 85% constantly. Where I was based out of, (Binh Thuy near Can Tho, Southwest of Saigon) the temps stayed in the mid 70 – mid 80s range year around. In the dry season along the Mekong the humidity drops to the 60 - 75% range if I remember correctly.

adult tokays can frag a hopper mice without problems!!!!
And they are more considered rainforest, not desert.

To put ANYTHING with a tokay is madness. If you want to make the experience, just put your naked hand in a tokay terra. You will understand!!!

Altought i have seen very good breeders being able to make their tokay 'handling friendly', they are just not the friendly type. It is like playing around with a scrub python, you just don't do it!!!
