Talking 44gal pentagon construction jurnal

I got this tank and it wasnt able to hold water due to a small crack. I decided to make a new home from my lone RETF. Heres a few pics of the viv being built.

I forgot to take a pic of the tank before i did anything. This was the first pic i took. THe pond sextion and one pannel already done.

All 3 back pannels and pond done.

Foamed background

Broke out glass and glued screen in place for better vent.

sealed and layered background. Put eggcrate and screen in place.

Put bedding mix down. Added gravel and pond filter

Added water and some plants

Added the frog

Looked around for a few mins and went right to sleep like normal.

I plan on adding more plants (mainly gonna fill in the background and add some moss). I always wanna add some more RETF's. That 44gal is a little much for just one frog.

Let me know what you guys think. Any tips or concerns would be great. thanks for looking

Nice! You should have passed the electrical cable for the powerhead under and behind to hide it completely. Nice work with the backing and the plants. I like the bamboo. Did that with mine too

I was gonna wire the filter in but then i thought about it and decided not to. The filter has to come out when i change the carbon and filter pad. If the plug was behind the foam i wouldnt be able to change it. When i did my 37gal viv i ran all the piping behind the foam and it looks great. The only difference is on my 37gal im running a small canister filter. Thanks for the good words tho
