trep another option is gravel from Home Depot or Lowes. HD here carries bags of gravel for $4 per 50 lbs. at the pet store the same grave lis $4 for 3 pounds. HD just doesnt have as many colors to choose from, but they have a few sizes of the natural colors.

Cool, i'll check this out. I don't really want fency colors and stuff since it's gonna be the under layer of the substrate, and i want it to look the most realistic. That's mainly why i was puzzled at the pet shot, i couldnt find a realistic gravel color
