Where did you find GE II with NO mold inhibitor? I thought it all had mold inhibitor. Anyway, I have heard that GE II produces less fumes and cures more quickly, and it is not toxic once cured. I used GE I for my frog/toad tank and it was AWFUL... the fumes were terrible, and it took FOREVER to cure. I bought GE II to use for my dragon tank. I just couldn't deal with the GE I again. So, since there are many many people that have used the type II, it should be fine, otherwise everyone else would have had problems.

cool. i got it from Home Depot. just as long as it doesn't "resists mildew, mold, ect" or something like that or if it doesn't say Bio Seal version, it doesn't have it. make sure to read all the fine print too! lol. on the DAP one with mold inhibitor it said "has cause birth defects in laboratory animals", so i steered clear of that!

Yes, I have heard many people say to steer clear of the DAP brand of just about anything, especially silicone. I got GE type II black. That's what many people use, and they have had no ill effects. I used the type I before, and it was just the worst.
