Default New Viv

We aren't getting our geckos for a while still. Hubby and I are going to the Mississauga Reptile Expo to get them, but we wanted to set up our viv way in advance just to have it done and have all the plants established, etc. We also wanna make sure we can establish humidity and heat properly before putting someone in there. But we are planning on having 2 cresties in here.

The background is foam, earthen pots, and paint We used a nontoxic weatherproof varnish to make sure the paint doesn't chip or anything.

We got the layers and all theplants in. We ended up buying way too much stuff to put in it, but that's alright

As plants we have air plants, reptile wood, non toxic bonsais, pothos, and two other leafy non toxic tropical plants. All ground in covered by a variety od different mosses, namely frog, sphagnum, and irish moss.

Let us know what you think!

Thanks

It's the largest exoterra they sell. It's 3 ft long, two feet tall, and 1 1/2 feet wide.

Beautiful! The plants look very cozy!

I recognize the fountain in the corner, too! I had that one for a while - may even buy it again unless I can find something smaller.

We bought that one in particular because it was on sale for 40$... so we snatched it up. It works well

$40? I think I paid $25 back when I got it. Makes me wish I hadn't tossed it. I have storage-emptying fits sometimes...

This is also the largest one they have. There are smaller ones that are less expensive. They all look exactly the same.. just go up in price.

Thumbs up

That is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!
I feel so inferior looking at that.
Were those pics taken right after finish or have the plants had some time to fill out a little?

Oh, okay! Yes, mine was definitely on the smaller side.. it was in a 10 gallon aquarium at the time.
