When a vivarium is ventalated is the air pushed in or pulled out?

I usually like it to be pushed out. But I think its the same effect in either case. If it pulls in, it pulls in dry air and humid air goes out one way. If you push out, then humid air gets pushed out, but dry air gets pulled in. So its basically the same thing.

Yeah, that's right. Now that I think about it ventalation is just replenishing the air with fresh air. I just thought maybe some people had a prefered method.
