What about your GTF? maybe getting a second, or a couple of anoles. Those should both do well together. price wise on the GTF's I don't know. Anoles are around 6-8 dollars a piece. Not a bad price.

My GTF Will have to hold on in his small terrarium until I can get him a 10 gallon+

I feel it'd be a waste to put ONE GTF in a 40 gallon tank. When he would be fine in a 20 gal.

Could anoles live off an ONLY cricket dieT?

if not what else do they eat

Fire Bellied Toads. so easy to care for, plus you get to have a water/land setup which is awsome.

I was thinking about fire bellies, but I was most interested in some sort of lizard or newt.

Any ideas?

Mmmm! I have been thinking about snakes for a while.

How often do they need to be fed a day?

And honestly, I have NO idea what they eat besides mice when they're big enough

I think you should worry about the pet you ALREADY HAVE, before worrying about getting another one. Since you don't want to waste you nice big new tank on JUST ONE GTF, maybe you could get some more of them, and add a couple of anoles to the same setup. Whatever you decide, make sure you know what the animal needs BEFORE you purchase it. I think I'm going to shut up now before I get myself in trouble again...

frogsong as a point tought...I also really think you should make your frog happy in the first place, and then see for something else.

p.s: most snakes eat once a week. and it might not be mice

Thanks guys.

Now that I think about it,i might just go with a few GTF's like you said.

How many would you suggest to be in one 40 gallon?

Considering that they'd have enough room.

Also, how do you get a custom sized screen for FBs?
