Koi can carry nasty parasites and desieses. I would use garden hose water(usualy is uncloronated) or use filtered water, if you are realy woried about your tap watter get bottled I gues, could ghet exspensive though. I know some people on here have reverse Osmosis filtration but that seems tyo be over board unless you have a frog rack or large number of animals.

Toxins in the atmosphere could couse problems if you live in a city. pollution sucks. just use filtered or treated water you should be fine. I have aquariums and snakes and I use tap water for everything. I dechloronate for the fish.

I think it is looking great. Since you are looking at Red Eye Tree Frogs, they need lots of places to climb and strong plants. However, I do not know what plants to recommend.
How deep is the water going to be?

Very nice! Have fun covering the "great stuff". That took me quite a while, and I still had to do about 3 touch up runs with it. It definately looks good in the end though.

I used latex gloves, then just had a pile of silicone that i could take a little bit at a time and smear over the great stuff. Once you have a section covered in silicone, I found that its way easier if you just pile the dirt on top of it completely,(like and inch thick at least) then press down really hard and let it sit. If you didnt see any foam through the silicone, it should most likely hold the dirt no problem.

My first mistake was just kinda sprinking the dirt on. This didnt work so well...
