Question Green Water Dragon viv

hi,
im new to building vivs, so thats why i thought i would ask you guys/guls.

i thinking of getting a green water dragon, but i want to build my own viv as i don't like these vivs you can buy for the store. so i was wondering how would i start to build a viv for my dragon. does it need certain terrain. how much water supply does it need. The dragon will be about 7inch when i get it so how big should the tank be to start off with.

any infomation and link would be good,

many thanks

Welcome to the forums.

Never kept one of these myself, but when we had them come into the store the setup was usually about 3'l x 18''w x 18''h with lots of stuff to climb over and under for a couple of juvenilles. They liked it pretty humid and would come sit in front of the sprayer at misting time; having a nice absorbant substrate helps alot like some of the tropical bark mixes and sphagnum moss. A large water dish and sometimes a waterfall were also used. While much of their body length is tail, they still get fairly large so planning for a large enclosure is key I think.

There's a couple caresheets on this link:

One other thing that I'll always remember: they're wicked fast, even as youngsters, so take care if you're going to handle em outside the enclosure (had to make a diving slide on the fish room floor to catch one once )

Default Green Water Dragon Viv

I've got 2 water dragons, both are quite small, about 10-11 inches each. I'm nearly finished my viv. Went for the naturalistic approach and put in rock backgrounds and a waterfall. The height of the acual viv is 5'10" but 1' of this is for storage and the main pool, oh ya they have 2 :-). Its 3'5" wide and 2' deep.

Here's a few pics of what I've done so far. I have more but my internet at home isnt working so can't upload any new pics. Heres what I have.

And heres the boys
