Lightbulb I need some Ideas!

Well I have a 10 Gallon vert conversion and dont know what to put in it. I dont have it finished yet becouse I want to know what I am puting in it so I can cater to the individual needs of the species. I was origenaly intended for PDFs but 1. the exspense is allitle high for me right now and when they cut the glass they made an uneven edge leaving me no way to make it Fruit Fly escape proof, the FF's would simply crawl out the small spaces along the sides. I was thinking RETFs sice i am a night guy and they feed off crickets but again exspence plus some sites say a 10G is big enough for even a pair but most seem to say more space is nessasary, I would not want to cramp any thing. So my question is what can I put in a 10G vert with some plants that wont be crowded, doesnt require exspensive lights, and will feed off crickets or food that wont escape the small spaces along the side of the door? I like anoles but they need UV and from what I understand UV lighting is exspensive. any ideas would be great, I hate starring at an empty tank. I was just doing some reading on American Green Tree frogs. what do you guys think of one of these guys in a 10G vert?

How about some nice night geckos? There are some that aren't too big, that aren't too small, and I bet that they eat small crickets. I have no experience with these, but I would try it. I would try Anolis too, but you say you want nocturnal animals.

well most of the anolis species i have kept, RETFs, and GTFs need more space than 10 gallons. IMO most of the animals that are big enough to feed off of crickets need more space then a 10 vert. that doesnt rule every thing out though. there are some small day gecko species that can be fed crix. most of what you read on the interent tells you that they need UV also. as long as their diet is supplemented correctly they have and can be kept and bred successfully for long periods of time, without UV. im sure the same can be held true for anolis species, but i dont think many commonly available ones stay small enough for a 10 vert. there are a lot of small night geckos that are fairly available, and are agressive enough to feed off of small crix.

Angry Aaaaarrrrgg!!!!!

Well it just seems I went to small with this to house anything but the smaller fly eating critters. It was originaly going to be for PDFs I mean if you can afford $40 for a RETF you can Afford a killer deal on D. Imitator at $55 a piece! unfortunately my glass was cut wrong. I supose I can remove the glass door and buy some new glass. It is infuriating that some one didnt do there job correctly I know am forced to choose between giving them more money and hoping they dont screw it up again or scraping a 10 Gal vert concersion that is all but finished. All it needs is Bed a Beast siliconed on the Great Stuff, gravel put down (scrapped the false bottom), some substrate, and plants Well what can you do? just learn from it I guess. I might just say forget it and focus on building the monstrossity I wrote about.

alot of those need as mch ground space as vertical space, so a vert with only a small footprint may not be the best idea for one of them. a standard 10 wouldnt be bad though

BRF,
in which direction is the glass to small? is it not wide/tall enough? could you add a little bead of silicone to the inside lip of the tank and make it FF proof?

It is to long by fractions. the glass was cut at an angle (crooked Edges) so I had to choose between the top overlaping a bit of screen or the bottom overlapping some glass. I chose the second so I woild be able to latch the tank. the glass cannot be fixed it was just miss cut in a way that makes that impossible. It is hard for me to replace couse I no longer have a vehicle (it died). My friends take me shopping and to get supplies for my animals but it is always on a tight schedual, no time for extra erands
