Default What To Use

Hello, I am totally new to vivariums, and haven't even set mine up yet (so odd ideas are encouraged!). I'm planning to set up a 20 gallon tank, half will be for fish (killi fish, most likely a type of Fundulopanchax), and the other half would be for only one toad (or, the more the merrier, but has to be fairly simple to keep, remember, I'm a beginner). I was thinking of perhaps siliconing think chunks of slate to the side (or back) of the tank, and layering some smaller, thinner peices under it, to give it a natural look, it would be 3 inches approx. from the water as killies are jumpers, there will be moss and matter covering the peice of slate, and the filter will drop onto a bare peice of slate, creating a waterfall. Dwarf Hair Grass and maybe a crypt or two. And I may silicone some cork to the back, so, as I'm sure you know, I want to have as muck room for both the species as possible, but keep it natural. Any flaws in my plan?
Or toad suggestions?

Oh! and I figure about half the tank will have water in it, but perhaps I will have something jutting out of the water, so the toad must be a goo swimmer, small, too. So it can't eat my fish!

The only toads I can think of that fit most of your require ments are fire bellied toads. They are however toxic. I know guppies can be kept with them as long as the water is well filtered and partial water changes are frequent. but they eat the guppies. arent Killi fish pretty small? you could have 2 or 3 Fire bellied toads in a setup like this as long as you kept up on maintenance. any toad will eat anything it can fit into its mouth, and most have disproportionate sized mouthes.
