Default My first vivairum

I have to put off setting up my larger vivarium until after September (I have my 83 year old mother staying with me until after the hurricane season is over).

So in the mean time, I have set-up what I plan to use as a Quarantine Tank....it is an Exo-Terra 12"x12"x18" (30cm x 30cm x 45 cm)...it will be used to house a smaller Phelsuma (Day Gecko) species.

Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated:

It looks really nice. The orchid looks a bit too large for it. Is the orchid planted in the ground? Or is it on the background? If its on the ground it will rot soon. Very nice setup though.

The orchid is planted (substrate is a combo of Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice™ Potting Mix and Orchid Potting Mix)...so far it it doing well, although I had put too high of a wattage bulb and wilted a petals.

I have added some more plants, some monkey wood and a juvenile Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis (Madagascar Giant Day Gecko)
