Default Cricket die off - why?

I'm new to keeping lizards and the crickets they need to eat, I just started two sundays ago when out of nowhere a baby anole hatched out of one of my terrarium plant pots.

This morning I went to feed the anole but all my pinhead crickets had died off. I have them in a large Cricket Keeper, it's like a 1 or 2 gallon terrarium with a screen top and tubes the crickets can climb in and be delivered to the terrarium. I have calcium gut load cricket food and some orange squares that are supposed to be food & water source for them. I had the crickets since saturday but Tuesday they were all dead. My fruitflies are all still going strong so my lizard won't starve but I've got a huge shipment of pinheads coming tomorrow or thurs by mail and I don't want all those to die off too in a couple days.

Am I doing something wrong with my crickets?

Crickets need high temps like 85 -95 and lots of fluid. get cricket quencher it is a jelled calcium fortified water. even with calcium in the food you still want to use the dust.

Thanks RF! I got the Cricket Quencher jelly stuff today, will this not dry up like the Fluker farms orange cubes?

My pinheads arrived by mail but are way smaller than the "pin heads" I got from the reptile shop. So I went and got some bigger ones today and will have to wait for these ones I ordered to grow a bit since they're smaller than even the D. hedyi fruitflies!

The quencher will dry up but you can add a little water to the dish and rehydrate the clumps. also with the pinheads use smaller amounts at a time to lessen dehydrated chunks. remember to keep you crickets warm.

Thanks, I'll check the quencher every couple days to be sure it's still jelly. I keep my crix on the bookshelf under the terrarium so they should stay at a good temp.
