Default New aquarium

Someone just gave me a 55 gallon tank.

So, how shall I fill it?

Any suggestions?

Any way you want. LOL

From another post, sounds like you're considering pdf's. They are very cool. I keep toying with the idea but the $ is rather intimidating and I also worry about what I would do during those times when I'm gone for a couple weeks. Can't count on having someone else popping by to feed them.

So many possiblities w/ a large tank -- whether to do critters or just plants? to do a bog, temperate, or desert environment? I went w/ a bog for my 55G because I like cp's and have found bog terrs to be relatively easy to maintain in the past.

My 90G will be my orchid terr but I keep getting side-tracked by life & have yet to really even start settinig that one up -- though I do have the hood for the lights made [but found I need to alter the fit somewhat -- had a measurement slightly off somewhere.

Usually what I do is set up the tank the way I want it. Then I find an animal that would like it too. Its not my fault its always an amphibian.
