Default water dragons, questions

i have a spare ten gallon tank that i'd like to use and i was wondering if infant water dragons would have a problem with that little amount of space. i know as they get larger they need a pretty good amount of room. how fast do CWD's grow? whats the smallest tank i can get away with while maintaining good health for the dragons. i've read around and its really hard to find anything about baby dragons. everythings about juvenile or adults.

For a baby id recommend a 20 gallon long. Ten is just way to small.

I agree with Spazizz, ten is way to small. You could probably get away with it for a month with a baby, but I would recommend just getting a larger tank first. The tank needs to be twice the length of the body long, once the length wide, and ideally twice the length tall. If there is a baby at a pet store that you want to buy and you think it wont be there long, you could put it in the ten gallon while you ready a larger tank. It is better to go with the largest you can get right now so you wont have to upgrade so many times. Be prepared to have to build a 6'x3'x6' enclosure.

Yeh, mine grew 10" in a year so don't expect them to stay babies long! They are fully grown @ app 5 years, and live for 15-20 years. 10 gallow would be ok to bring back from the pet shop it!

if you want an idea of how much they eat, this site is very good. actually, if you want to know anything at all about CWD's this site is very good.

The diet of Chinese water dragons (lizard, insect, cricket, meal worm, earthworm, pinkie, fuzzie, fish, vitamin, mineral, calcium)

Mine eats about 8 to 10 crickets a week, so i'd say thats not so bad. and theyre medium/large crickets too.

Only 8 to 10 crickets!!! Your dragon is eating WAAAAAAY less than mine! I go through 50 crickets every week between my CWD and my frogs. The frogs get about 15 of those. My dragon will usually eat at least ten in a sitting, though some days he doesn't eat as much... How big is your dragon? I also feed mine waxworms from time to time, and he will gobble down 15 or so in a couple of mins!
