Talking How big is YOUR CWD?

I just measured my guy today, and he is 15.5 inches STL now! WOW! He was only 11.25 inches when I first measured him! He is 4.75 inches SVL. Now he's starting to get this dark line behind his eyes. I can't wait til I can tell whether "he" is really a he!

So, how big is everyone else's?

Just in case you haven't read the easy way to do it, take a string, hold it at the nose, then make a knot at the vent, and then hold it at the nose again and make a knot at the tail. Then you measure the string. That way you can easily measure the SVL and the STL.

Mine is VERY docile... I wonder sometimes why he isn't as active in the cage and as squirmy as everyone else's seem to be... I know he's healthy though! Have you tried hand feeding? If he wont hand feed, don't feed him the regular way, make him eat for you from your hand (obviously, if he is very resistant, don't let him go more than a couple of days without eating, since he is still a little guy). That should get him used to you being there, and make him trust you (just like with any other animal). After that, try holding him and hand feeding. Just keep with it and keep with it until he lets you hold him. Hand feeding really works very well, though he may not take it to begin with if he is stubborn. If that happens, you just have to get them hungry.

I know it sounds mean to not feed them like that, but it is what I have seen recommended, and I know from experience that it works.

I'm hoping mine gets more active when I get the new enclosure built...

I'm starting it tomorrow!!!!

Which reminds me I need to get some sleep so it isn't too hot outside while I am trying to prime the wood!
