ive moved some friends with Vivs before and unless you want to spend a few bills on strapping and other security measures to ensure the tanks wont get tossed around, Even if the outer part of the tank is solid the guts will bounce around.... well.. unless you go 1 km/hr. I dont know how far a drive it is from A to B but tear the VIVs down now or later, sadly enough it will have to be one or the other .

Yeah, you are definitely going to have to tear down the vives. I would suggest some small sterilite containers, or perhaps the stackable drawers that they make, for transporting the animals. They have them in a number of sizes, and they are not terribly expensive. My husband and I came from King's Bay, GA (he's Navy) to Bangor, WA with: three squirrel frogs, one golden tree frog, one anole, one FBT, one parakeet, and two cats (one pregnant and about to deliver)... This was in a Pontiac Grand Am GT (two door). That was a long, tedious, cramped trip. My husband may be getting transfered to Jacksonville, FL, and I am not looking forward to the trip again, even though we have a larger car. I have even more herps now... My biggest problem is what to do with the CWD... So I know how you feel!!! We have fish now too, and I just have no idea what we are going to do with the fish... Oh well... I definitely suggest looking into the stackable drawers, at least with the frogs and toads. You'll want more security with the anoles. I don't know what to tell you about the fish... I would think the sloshing will be stressful to them... At least it isn't as far as we had to go... (My grandparents live in Norfolk, it's a very nice area, if you've never been) Good luck. Please post what you decide on and how it goes when you move, so I can adjust my plans based on your experience.

I moved several vivs from Texas to Michigan without a problem, with the exception of a couple broms falling off the background. Remove the animals, and use cardboard tubes to prop up any heavy pieces of wood that could come dislodged during transport. You'll probably have to replant some after you get settled, but there is not any reason to completely tear apart the vivs.
