Default Sides of terrarium covered?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if it was a good/bad idea to also put some coco panels on the sides of the terrarium to increase surface area for hanging mounts. I was thinking of only covering 2/3 of the entire side walls so it wouldn't look too cramped and you can still see in from the side as well. Has anyone done this or think it'll be a bad idea? All the light will come from the top canopy since I don't have much natural light in that room. Thanks.

Never a bad idea to provide more coverage and hides for your frogs or what ever is being housed, the only reason most ppl dont cover the sides is not to minimize the viewing area and thats it. just depends on how much you would like to see, or from how many angles. You could try covering the entire sides of the tank but carving or sculpting a few holes or caves that can be seen from the outsde. kinda like portholes on a ship.

I've got coco panels covering about one third of each of the sides of one of my vivs. Mainly because I keep some small agamas that like the humidity and to give them a bit of privacy.

Also has the wonderful side effect of providing a spot of extra growing space. Just squeeze in some extra broms and any tiny miniature phalaeonopsis .
