Really? I disagree. I have LOTS of worms in my tanks. They do VERY well. They always have. Generally, when I redo a tank, I find lots more worms than I added to begin with. My dragon tank is high temp, and they do very well in there too. I have found several when replanting plants.
I am from SC, and generally in the summer, the worms crawl OUT of the soil and crawl around on top, where it is even hotter (I can foresee someone saying something about them coming out because it is too hot in the ground, but simply sticking a finger in the dirt will show anyone that the temp outside is much higher than the soil temp). The health of worms seems to me to have more to do with the moisture level and what they are eating (if you are feeding feeder worms).
