Question RGS for live plants yay or nay?

I want to get a rough green snake. Should i use live plants? I hear peat is a good substrate for live plants so i will be using that. But as RGS are climbers i want to get some vines, what vines would be suitable? Also what other plants should i add?

it really depends on the size of the snake im not too familiar with the RGS but im assuming its relatively small and since its arboreal any plants with strong branches or sturdy vines should work if its a larger snake you might wanna steer away from live plants because the snake will destroy them as far as the substrate yes peat moss is a good one for growing plants in and so is Eco earth also called bed a beast that works well and is what i use in all my vivs

to be honest with you i myself am not all that great of a knowledge on plants black jungle has a great selection of reptile safe plants and if i remember correctly they have some vines as well and if im not mistaken ( which there is a very good chance i am) some orchids are a creeping type of plant. there are a few plant knowledgable people here so if this question hangs out for a little while im sure it will get a better answer than what i could give. im sorry i couldnt be too helpful but hope that what info i could give was somewhat helpful =)

I think that plants like the tree like Dieffenbachia types and almost any sturdy vine types such as Ivy species would work for a Rough Green.
I would not go with any vines like a Wandering Jew though as they would not likely survive an adult Green climbing on it.
I am sure that those who know more about plants than I will be able to suggest some other sturdy bush type and vine plants.
Good luck with your Rough Green, they are not the easiest species to keep in captivity.

Athen,
They are semi arboreal, eat insects, and will weigh about 1lb at the avg length of 30 inches.
