Question Can a tiger/spotted salamander live with an anole

Ok is it safe to keep a tiger/spotted salamander with a green anole? The main problem i seem to have is that anoles need a heat. Can salamander have heat lamps without getting hurt? Do the anoles and salamander have different living needs?

No, they shouldn't be housed together. The main problem is that the anole would become a food source for the tiger. Ambystoma (both tiger and spotted sallys) are voracious, they eat everything. Also the anole will need heat and UV lighting (a hot spot in the tank) while the salamander would be happy kept cool (under 75F) and under dim lighting.

Mixing Species is bad--only professionals know how to do this.

They both have different requirements anyway besides the fact that one of them might get eaten, nipped, or stressed.

If you need to ask you dont have the knowledge needed to successfully keep mixed species Vivaria. Not trying to be mean so dont take it that way, just being honest.

I don't want to step on anyones toes, but no professional will mix anything with a large ambystoma and if you do not ask questions you cannot learn.

Sorry, I didnt mean to seem like I was saying "dont ask". I was just refering to the experience generally required to safely keep mixed species. The old adage if you have to ask how much it costs you cant afford it.

I mix species. I see no problem with if you do the research (I.E. Ask Questions) Normster can't mix these two species (sorry Norm) but there are species that can be mixed safely with the right conditions!
