Oh, gosh. You need a hug. {Mrcarabao} There, there, we'll figure it out.

How long have you had the salamander in your set-up? What are the conditions (temp, humidity, etc.)

It is normal for a critter to feel stressed right after a move; some will not eat for several days or a week right after a big change. Temps can also make a huge difference.

Hang in there!

Some of them are shy. The problems you are having could be due to the species, but as I don't know what species you have, I'm not sure. So more info would be good. What kind of salamander is it? How old is it? How long is it?

Also, what size crickets are you offering it? Some salamanders will refuse to eat if the prey animal is: too big; too small; not moving enough.
