Default help!

i am really interested in salamanders and newts but i am having the hardest time trying to figure out what this certain kind is called. its a salamander (or maybe newt idk) it is mostly black with lime green spots all over. they look so cool! i want one but idk where to even start cuz idk what its called. if you know please tell me thanks!

have u got a picture? the only salamander i can think of that sounds anything like that is something like a tiger salamander but there spots tend to vary from bright yellow to a deep olive green and never hit what i would think of as lime green.

i think its just called a green salamander.

this doesnt look exactly like the one i saw.

the picture i saw had a tiger salamander type pattern but with green instead of yellow. so i am assuming the color on the camera was wrong and it looked greenish instead of yellow.
