Good choice!

I have a Mexican Black King and She is great!!!

When your buying it, try to handle it first. Some Kings have a poor dispostion and like to strike and or musk.

Even if you do get a rowdy one, they can be tamed down if you handle them often enough. But don't handle to much or you'll stress it out.

King Snakes come a wide variety of color morphs so have fun and make sure you post some pics once you get the wonderful serpent!

This doesn't have to apply to reptiles... there's lots of dumbasses in this world, choose your info sources wisely on any matter : )

beck : your comment made me giggle... because it's true.

I did get a rowdy king snake.... but after a year and a half or so if im sitting on here reading posts i can open the tank and he will come to me to crawl around on me and to be played with, and he is beautiful super active during the day

He does like to climb a lot but ffor the most part he crawls around under my aspen bedding than up to bask under the heat lamp.
