Default To molt or not to molt

My rosehair is behaiving odley. it has made a little spot infront of the hide log that all substrate (cypress mulch) has been cleared away from all the way to the bottom and builds a web over the ground. then flips over and pulls into it like a sleeping bag. Then pushes the legs through and plips back over. I was prety shure my rosehair was a male, and mature I have just been tring to enjoy him untill he passes but know I am not sure. I know this flipping over is molt behavior but he doent stay that way for more than afew seconds. He is more active right now than I have ever seen him moving things around and rubbing himself with his legs I have had him for over a year about 13 months. its my first T.. and I was wondering what I am seeing?

Default

Has he been feeding?? I once read they stop feeding before a molt, maybe up to a month before. And that they become reclusive. I have no experience with Tarantulas though. Good luck.
