Post 29 gallon vert background take 2

Well i sprayed my gs background with wax paper under it to make a "removable background." well it did not turn out like i had hoped. It shrunk about 2 inches and will now no longer fit lol. So after finally finding a piece of mopan wood that i liked ( on sale for 6 bucks no less) i screapped the idea of removable and went with permanent. Here is a pic before i sprayed the second time. the black flexible pipe i siliconed down and onto the top. Its purpose is to run the power for the pump for the waterfall. i will haft to drill the hole in the top and tada a critter proof outlet lol. this is what it looks like after i sprayed it with GS. i only put 1 pot in the background because the mopan wood is hollow and i can plant right into it. Well that is it for now. I have to wait for it to dry and then i can start siliconing the coco fiber to the background! Let me know what you think.

removable backgrounds are always a pain, thats the reason why i moved away form doing them. Best thing to do imo is to spray the foam onto the glass or to silicone on tree fern panels or eco/epi web then put the GS onto that.

good start. make sure to leave drain holes through your gs where your potters will be.
