Ok, started planting this one. I've decided to go for only orchids in this one.
I will be adding a fan, or maybe two to this one.

I've put in a Ludisia discolor cutting,

And a Phalaenopsis Mini Mark 'Holm' which came in bloom

a Keferstenia tolimensis

An Angraecum scottianum all the way at the top for max lighting

And a Bulbophyllum dearei

Thank you Hopalong! I've added some plants, and the Orchid in bloom has continued to bloom, so it must be happy.
I still need to get a fan for this one to get some ventilation going.

Here is an update on both tanks!

This is the first tank. This one is the one that now houses a D. pumilio.

And this is the Orchidarium that will house a Hyla cisnerea (green tree frog).
I'm letting the plants acclimate first before adding the frog.

You realy inspired me with this project! It is turning out to be more cost eficient than I could have imagined! I am making a 10 gallon size (want to start small) with a false bottom and a water fall ( I got a reat little pump works in as little as 1/2" of water but i am going to submerge it. I picked up some Great Stuff today and Silicon II Black GE Brand, I still need exspanded clay pellets, hinges and glass (found a glass shop today!) But thank you again your post has launched me right into this incredible hobby. Im so caught up in this now my friends think i need a shrink! Once I find some slate pieces and wood I like the fun will realy begin. Ill try to get some pics once I get things a bit more togeather.

Hi me again. Um I was just wondering how to secure the plantsto the foam background? Im no where near there yet, but I figured I would ask. also any ideas on sudstrate besides using the "Bed a Beast" (Ive used it before for other projects and im not a huge fan)? Maybe a mix of Bed a Beast and saphgium (I know thats not spelled right!)? and how deep in general to hold plants well?
Hope im not being to much of a bother.
