Default help with flashing tube please

Just switched on my new Arcadia double bulb unit with two brand new tubes but there just flashing on and off.
So are the little starter things on the main unit. I tried switching those bits but the same happens.
Its all new gear so what's going on?

Ideas please!

generally when they flash there is a problem with the balast and/or starters. Is it flickering or actually going on then off then on then off, etc?

The bulbs are flicking on and off at the same time so are the starters.
Both bulb and unit are new.
Cost a lot too!

I'd bring it back to the shop you got it from and have them replace it. No sense in settling for less than a perfectly working fixture, especially brand new.

I agree. Sounds like there might be a loose wire or maybe a broken one somewhere. I'd definitely have it replaced.

And poking around inside may void the warranty as well... something else to bear in mind.

back it goes.

flickering can be caused by anything in a fluoro setup. who cares what it is if you paid for new stuff. i'd take aarons warranty point to heart and get a new setup...
