Default A few of my other vivs

These are my two vertical vivs, 20 longs. One on the right has a D. pumilio and the one on the left is an orchidarium.

This is my 55 gallon tank.

The pond

Those look great. Do you have any animals in the 55? What kind of light are you using on the 55?

In the 55 I have two mole salamanders who never leave their cave, and some tiny wood frogs which I raised from egg who are getting big and I will move them out soon. I also have a firebellied newt that spends all its time on land. ANd I got some sort of tropical fish in the pond.

Default A couple quick ques

I'm just wondering...

-these are 20 longs you turned on their side right? Did you do anything to reinforce the side/turned bottom?

-also the top/now turned side, is that a custom access you put together yourself or did you buy it somewhere?

-and finally, at the side/now top did you do anything to allow the light a straight entrance into the viv or do you just have the light shining through the glass? I thought this wouldn't work that's why I ask this

I'm planning on turning a 30 gal I got on it's side so it's 18x12x30 rather than 30x12x18

Thanks so much

Jordon

This thing is beautiful. I love those 20 gallon tanks also. I've got to find out how to make those front hinge doors for the conversion of aquariums for arboreal species. It seems like more people are buying the parts to DIU instead of having the whole thing mailed to you ready to go. I've only come across one person that does do arboreal conversion kits and it's on Junglebox.net. But anyway, it's a cool setup that's for sure.
