Hey there..

Is it important to silicone the back before applying Great Stuff ?

And I've noticed that the silicone has a mold inhibator in it, will this be a problem ? Is it toxic ?

Thanks in advance

Most likey if you dont want the Great Stuff showing through the tank glass so everyone could see. The black blocks out the bright color and puffy look of the Great Stuff.

Sorry, that is all I know about bl. silicone and Great Stuff. I hope some others will answer your other questions

It seem that the GF peels away from the glass in some cases after some time without silicone.

Thanks folks..

Now brings me to another question that poped in me head...
I've seen some really cool looking viv's in the gallery forum and was wondering, to get some of the colors on the backgrounds is this done by mixing different colord silicone together ? Or our some of these I see already bought fabricated at a local pet store ?

Thanks in advance
