Default Food for my FBT

Hi all, I thought I could get this started by just throwing a couple of things out there. I am relatively new to the FBT world but have been into herps for a long time. Currently I am feeding my toads gut loaded crickets mainly, supplemented with occassional red worms, grasshoppers, meal worms, catepillars or whatever invertebrate seems to be hanging out in my backyard. I know that this can be a controversial practice but I haven't had any problems yet (3 months or so since setting up the tank). Concerns would be that they could ingest a toxic insecticide or something like that. I was a technician for a pest control company for about 3 years. Most bugs that have been poisoned are dead pretty quick after exposure so as long as the critters are active and seem normal I believe they'll be okay for my toads. They seem to love the variety.
Anyway, happy feeding.

Variety is always great if you can get it. I will be feeding my toads mainly crickets, but trying to mix it up when I can with different worms and things. Field plankton, various bugs, is supposed to be great for them for variety. I plan to try that next spring when it warms up. I am also planning to add springtails to the paludarium. Even if the toads do not eat them they will help keep mold under control.
