Exclamation Red Eye Tree Frog - HELP NEEDED

HI peeps, noticed one of my red eyes only seems to have 1 eyelid, when asleep one eye has the protctive cover and the other is just the red eye.
the pupil shrinks when shut and the eye seems to respond to light.

will this cause any problems, and will it grow back?

when i first got him/her it seemed like s/he had a sleepy eye, but as s/hes grown the problem has worsened.

S/He has not grown as much as the other 2, but this i have been told could be down to sex. S/He is not as active as the others but does move around and i have seen him/her eat.

any help would be great, will try and get a pic...........................

Try to get some pics up.... it's a bit hard to know exactly what your frog's eye is like. The main thing would be to make sure it's eating properly. How long have you had these frogs?

If they're eating it's a very positive sign. Is this an injury or wound as far as you can tell? Or is it that the frog just leaves one eye open?

hi, is def eating watched him last night!
it looks as though the protective cover has not formed on one eye.
the eye deffinatly responds to light.
i think this may be a defect in the little guy.

still trying for pic, camera blurs up close.

To get a good "close up" photo you should switch to Macro mode on your camera. It's usually represented by a little flower icon. It will tend to blur though so steady your hand by leaning against something or use a flexible mini tripod.

Hope that helps!

fully aware of what macro is, and fully aware on how to use it. my previous camera did not have it so that was the problem, however my new one does so i could take a picture except he has made a full recovery so there would be no need.

Good to hear on both accounts. I'm always surprised how many people have no idea how to use the functions on their camera other than clicking the power button and shutter.

I'm sure others will find the info useful though.
