I went into my tank to feed the frogs this morning, sence i have 2 i grab them off whatever thay are sitting on and place them on the bottom so i can see them eat. but today i came across a rather large white egg shaped object attached to the moss and its quite solid, all the pictures ive seen online show there eggs as a clump as i expected to begin with, Im wondering if these are indeed GTF's or something else as i am new to frogs i am a tad worried even though the frogs seem quite happy and in good health bounceing and eating just not barking as much anymore. these are some of the pics of the frogs hope somebody has an idea
I put pics of the " egg like " object in the members Gal as i have no way to resize them for posting here. please take a look any feedback at all would help, if im just looking at some odd turd or something along those likes feel free to laugh lol, but if its indeed an egg i could use some help in its care. cant find a dang thing for this egg type online..... maybe my noobishness has taken over as i am quite nervious ... Thanks in advance
Doesent look like any fungus i know of. its rather solid and dosent give way under little pressure like a spore based fungus or mold, and its not expanding outward like a fungus or mold either. Im almost certian that its an egg, ive managed to come up with a few sites showing Land bearing frogs that skip the Meta and complete the cycle in egg. I doubble checked the tank and this is the only one in there. the droppings from the frogs are almost 100% brown and contain some cricket husk fragments and break quite easy within my fingers and no other molds or odd growths in the tank either....
Sounds interesting for sure.Maybe you could isolate it in a seperate area.Make it a place that is still conducive to egg hatching and you will be covered either way.

I dont remove them from the tank to eat, i just place them on the bottom of the tank so i can actually see each one eat a cricket. I do not want one eating all the crickets and leaving the other with none as i only put 2 large crickets in every other day.
**Update on the strange white object**
So i woke up this morning to get ready for work and low and behold the thing i figured was an egg is actually some sort of plant, i know this because it now has a 1 inch long stalk i didnt put any seeds in there and most of the plants are fake lol, it must have been in the frogs before i picked them up or in the moss / substrate who knows.

is this not a little stress fullon the frogs? why do you only feed 1 cricket every 2 days? sorry for the questions just seems a little odd to me.

thay dont seem to stressed out by me doing this, i put my hand in and nudge them under the chin and thay walk on my hand and dont jump in the other direction, and thay dont walk off untill my hand hits the ground and then thay run after the crickets.. I only feed them 1 every 2 days because thay are eating large crickets and the frogs are only 1 inch long and takes them a few seconds to gobble them down... And it turns out the mystery has been solved, the white object was a mushroom with a hard white cap, hell if i know how it got there but thats what it is. was 2" long when i got home and toppled over..
I don't really see anything wrong with moving the frogs to eat, these frogs can become very used to handling, and will sometimes jump right on your hand as soon as it enters the tank. I used to catch these guys back home all the time, and I've kept a few in my time. That said, you should really try to feed them a couple of medium sized crickets or a few small crickets rather than the larger ones. Yeah, I know, they'll eat them... It's just easier for them to digest and get nutrients from more small prey than less large prey. I don't currently have any GTF's, but I have squirrel tree frogs, they are from the same area and eat the same way. I do feed my banana frog large crickets and since I have a mixed tank sometimes the FBT or one of the other frogs will get his crickets before he can get to them, but I try to make sure he gets larger ones just so I don't have to put in 4 or 5 just for him and two a piece for the other guys! Lately I have only been able to get medium sized crickets, and he eats way more of them than he does the large ones. Good rule of thumb is that prey should be about the same size as their head from side to side (some people say between the eyes, but these frogs are pure opportunists, if they see a little cricket and a big cricket side by side, if the big cricket can fit in their mouth and they catch it instead of the little one, they'll choke it down. It just depends on which one they catch first).
