aww...that painted turtle is so cute.

here's my 2 eastern box turtles:

the pics not to good since i took it soon after they woke up from thier hibernation, i'll take a better pic today. my mom found the one with the broken shell on the way to work last fall. it looks pretty old and we think it was hit by a car. the other one i caught in a local park to keep the first one company. they tend to follow each other around in the enclosier and i think thier male and female.

also have a salcutta, but i don't have a picture of him yet.

well, since it looks pretty old and had no signs of infection, mold, or any other unhealthy looking stuff, we diden't do anything with it.
it looks like it had already healed back together again. can't even tell if the shell was broken all the way threw.

currently, barly any of the white stuff is visible, most of it has flaked off and thiers black bone or new shell plates showing.

funny thing is, he's more friendly then the other turtle, he'll barly go in his shell when picking him up and then come out and try to climb out of your hand. you can even hold onto his feet and legs and he wont hiss or try to go back in his shell.
