Crested geckos and mushrooms

Hey everyone. My question is, would it be safe for a crested gecko to be housed in a vivarium containing mushrooms?
I am building a vivarium for cresteds and am at the planting stage. I've seen pictures of vivs with mushrooms and love the look. Any input is welcome as I have not yet gotten my whole plant list yet. Thanks
